EYE@Salerno

Next 05th, 06th and 7th of November the city of Salerno have the honor of hosting the biannual conference of EYE, organized for the first time in Europe, in co-operation with the ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers who will provide all training workshops. This event will bring over two hundred young engineers from across Europe to Salerno, professionals engaged in various sectors and representing associations operating in 13 European Union countries.

ASME is one of the largest engineering organizations in the world, was founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and in time became a reference for standardization. The ASME is a professional organization "Not-For-Profit" time collaboration, knowledge sharing and development of training through the disciplines, and at the same time, promoting the vital role of engineers in society. The "Codes" and ASME standards, publications, conferences, continuing education and professional development programs provide the foundation for advanced technical knowledge in the work of key engineers from around the world. The session of workshops, organized entirely by asthma, ASME will be provided by trainers of international repute, will be based on the following topics:

• International Standars
• Technical Communication
• Risk assessment
• Project Management
• Project Selling

Participation in the course will be certified by ASME and EYE. It will also conduct a panel discussion entitled "Standardization in a global world" that will involve representatives of asthma, European standardization bodies and of industry (event main sponsors) and the European world of engineering. The event will not be limited only to EYE delegates and all participants to meet and discuss the engineering profession and its new horizons, but will also be an important showcase for the city and the province of Salerno, increasingly rated tourism, and all companies operating in the fields of engineering, which will have an opportunity to be known by professionals and managers working in a global scenario.

The Association GIO.IN., which is based in Salerno and EYE member association in Italy, had the task of organizing the event, with the collaboration of the Italian associations young engineers and members of the contribution of local authorities concerned to encourage the development of the territory and promotion at European level of resources tourist.

Authorities invited to sponsor the event are the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, the Presidency Council, the City of Salerno, the province of Salerno, University of Salerno, Confindustria Salerno, the Chamber of Commerce Salerno, the Order of Engineers of Salerno, the National Council of Engineers, the Campania Region.

The event will take place at the prestigious Grand Hotel Salerno **** hotel, facing the Bay of Salerno, in a position to enjoy the beauties of the city and its famous surroundings. **** The Grand Hotel Salerno offers fully equipped function rooms, using the most advanced hi-tech media, to conduct the event.
