Dear friends of EYE,

we have relaunched our newsletter service in order to provide you with recent news on EYE and our events, as well as the most interesting news concerning the world of Engineering in Europe! As a pan-European network of engineering students and young professionals, we aim at keeping you up-to-date and being the cross-border voice of our member associations. EYE@Glasgow: 15 years of EYE

The 30th EYE conference will happen this spring from the 25th - 27th June 2010 in the lively city of Glasgow. The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is hosting and organising EYE@Glasgow. "Innovating to meet our global challenges" with the tag line Inspire, Engineer, Innovate! - a milestone theme for this milestone conference in EYE’s history. The official website has recently been launched. Registrations will open from Tuesday 9th March 2010 at 12am - don't miss the opportunity to meet the EYE network!

Mobility of Engineers in Europe

ME Today (ASME Newsletter March 2010)- Working in Europe can range from awareness to joint tackling of common problems including technical, economics, social, political, and globalization… right down to the individual engineer issues. In a candid discussion, Evert van Lieshout (The Netherlands) and Roger McLaughlin (UK), both from the European Young Engineers (EYE), provided an early career perspective for navigating the engineering profession in Europe. The two representatives joined ASME's "Young Engineer Career Event" in Orlando (Florida, USA) and became the feature story of ASME's Newsletter March 2010.

In Autumn 2011, the WEC is held in Europe, more precisily in Geneva. The ideal moment to show the world what and who EYE is about!
