ME Today (ASME Newsletter March 2010)- Working in Europe can range from awareness to joint tackling of common problems including technical, economics, social, political, and globalization… right down to the individual engineer issues. In a candid discussion, Evert van Lieshout (The Netherlands) and Roger McLaughlin (UK), both from the European Young Engineers (EYE), provided an early career perspective for navigating the engineering profession in Europe. The two representatives joined ASME's "Young Engineer Career Event" in Orlando (Florida, USA) and became the feature story of ASME's Newsletter March 2010.
Are you already a routined European Young Engineers' networker?
Then something might really appeal to you: the ultimate combination of EYE and WEC! WEC? Yes, WEC: The World Engineers' Convention. In Autumn 2011, the WEC is held in Europe, more precisily in Geneva. The ideal moment to show the world what and who EYE is about! Moreover, it will be the opportunity for you as well to come in touch with young engineers from all over the world!
EYE started preparing the EYE conference which will be held in the frame of WEC'11 in September 2011. Be prepared! More information can shortly be found on e-y-e.eu or on wec2011.org
